People:me
Duration:12:30-16:00
Tide:lw @ 2ish
Weather:calm and overcast
Bait:macko & squid
Rigs:pennels clipped..3/0
Results:1 huss @6lbs
1 ray @ 3lbs
few whiting..(first from here)
Report:missed a load of other bites earlier on in the session..fish would pick up the bait give a few bites and then drop it again..very frustrating but nice to get the first ray of the new year...tried out my recently acquired slosh 20 and very pleased with it...all quiet other than that but summer is beginning to arrive...ray put up a good scrap and the huss was a nice bonus..still to blank after 2 years on this spot and prior to those fecking whiting smallest fish from the mark was a 2lb ray...pics below

Good fishing Gearoid, nice to see the ray back. What you said there about fishing taking the bait and dropping it again, we fished Poulnasherry on Sunday for a few hours and had the very same thing happen.
Any chance we can join you on a trip one of the days ?????????
Regards
Seamus
