Report: Not a great deal to report when in search of Ray which are being a bit elusive of late. It was very slow going and after a long period of inactivity we both set up a 2nd rod which we hadn't set up previously due to high winds. Nige sent out a flapper while i set up a conger rig... got a bite on the conger rig and after a 40min battle of wits with the conger gone to ground managed to get a move on him a couple of times he won

Nige then got the first fish of the day a nice doggie followed by another a couple of whitting four fish to nil and a dropped conger was starting to turn into one of those days.... managed to pull a couple of doggies out to save the blank and got to grips with my new abu7000 hi speed which was deceptively easy to cast with. Just being out in the wilds of Connemara beats most things even when the fishing is slow
