Report:

Hadn't been out for ages and wanted to try my new SRE with my shimano reel intended to fish a bit closer to home but found every mark bit to windy. so ended up at killcumin pier as it was a bit sheltered put a pully out at distance and and the flapper close in. Nothing much doing till the sun dropped then a fish every cast all the dogs came to squid and the rocklings on mac the dogs were throwing themselves at the bait first few were deep hooked so started striking earlier lost a good few at the bottom of the pier wall ended up only fishing one rod as the rockling were taking the hook deep as i was kept busy with dogs.
love the SRE cant wait to get something bigger on it, bite indication is fantastic and it cast like a dream.
altogether a fantastic night for February and just to top it off petrol is still only 99 cent in Ballina on the way home so i filled up.
