Weather: Calm sea, clouded over,
Bait: Lug, rag, crab
Results: Whiting, dab, rockling, codling, coalfish (about 40 fish)
Not a bad sesh. We got about 40 fish. Great to get a 30 cm codling with a big bite at the end! Some of the whiting bites were so light we couldn't see or even feel them. We got 5 species in all.

thanks girls.
the codling was great bonus - particularly welcome at 11 pm - the two of us nearly had a heart attack when we saw the rod being pulled over! great to get a coalie as well (about 25 cm). It was dirty enough, with loads of weed throw up on the beach, and i lost two rigs on the way in with weed, but it'll clear off in a day or two.
the codling was on crab by the way.

Bring your chest waders if you want to cross the river, I didn't have mine with me... big mistake! I went home with wet socks and water in the boots.
