People: me, Diego
Duration: 19.00 to 1:30 (approx)
Tide: High tide at about 19:00 (

Weather: Clear, clouded over at about 23:30, very cold, bit of surf
Bait: Lug, squid, crab
Results: Whiting, dabs, flounder, rockling (about 40 fish)
We got going at about 7 pm. Fairly busy night with loads of whiting, including a good few in the 25-30 cm range, plus rockling, a few dabs, and a flounder.
The rockling appear to be spawning, and heavy with roe, so we carefully put them back along with the other stuff. One whiting had a massive gash in its side when Diego hauled him in - maybe a crab? I got a dab that had a chunk missing out of him too.
Lug again ruled the day, though I got a few on squid. The crab was a disaster for us this time. Ended at about 1:30 am. The temperature was about minus 1 (it had risen a bit in the last 2 hours and clouded over with snow up there.)
A good session, nothing spectacular, but it was great to be out. Almost a full moon, we hardly needed any extra lights at all.
Note: I got out of Ennereilly at 9 am this morning, Snow still falling. Beach covered in snow. I had a bad skid at Jack Whites coming up the N11 junction, but the N11 is driveable and had already been gritted. It will freeze on it, so if you're going down there be careful especially in sheltered spots...
(sorry for poor quality of the pix)
