people- me and john again

tides- slack and ebb

duration- 2.20pm-8.25pm

weather- strong winds

rigs- pulleys, 1up 1 downs and a running leger for congers

baits- mack, lug, rag, white rag, peeler crab and razorfish

results- me- plenty of decent coalies to 3lbs, 1 codling 1 pouting and 4 poorcod and missed a conger- john- nil

report-

john and i had planned to get out today so we decided to give the dee, i was there first and got a coalie first cast, was quite surprized to get it during the day, but then i got another as john arived and then the biggest, which weighed 3lbs, biggest coalie from the dee and biggest shore coalie so far, then i had a few more, must have been because of the dirty water in the harbour, as they were all caught in day light, as it got dark the coalies stopped feeding, i had a poting and 4 poorcod, last fish i had was a tiny little codling.
john on the other hand had a worse session than me as usual .
peeler crab was the best bait for the coalies, rag also had a couple of fish as did lug.

still a grteat session for me, just as long as good anglers catch.

fair play....some decent coalies there.

must have been the strong easterly winds pushed them into the harbour.
plenty of small ones too but still i never say no to a new PB

was a good sesh but a shame about the winds, but i'm an angler i am allowed to be mad and will go fishing no matter what the weather

well done dan, 3lbs is a nice coalie mate, the dee seems to be a right
decent spot . i usually fish the north coast but think its time for a
bash in co down.....is it just at the light house that you fish?

yea for bait use peeler crab, i just got the frozen ones from mckees and tip it off with a lug worm.

Nice 1 Dan! 3lb coalie is good going mate! You braved the elements which is good to see. Few coalies in day light is interesting. Looking forward to the pics man, so I have something to look forward to for the next session

never measured him just weighed him was actually 3lbs 2oz but i'm not greedy just call it 3lbs. i all ways under estimate lengths but about in my esimations about 50-60cm
