Report:
This was our opening junior comp, to get the ball rolling for our 2009 season for the juniors,,
we arrive at the mark with high hopes for a few fish, the first hour was a bit sketchy with alisha kavanagh catching the only fish, but then we had a few fish coming in on all sides, with lishas lead dwindling away with evan ivory bringing in a double whiting and codling, soon to have dj reilly following close with a nice whiting,,,then evan,s sister aliza ivory started her fish count with a whiting, things started to get closer from then on with 3 of the kids on four fish and poor jacks only fish dropping of half way up the wall. with some nice fish coming in , flounder to 34 and codling to 28, a few whiting over the 25 mark, and a 4 bearded rockling 25 to dj reilly, lisha was the first to reach the 5 fish mark then evan followed very soon, but unfortunately just couldn catch lisha,s over all fish lenght, with lisha taking first place and evan second and dj taking third place,

thanks to all who participated it was a great day out and great to see the juniors enjoying them selfs, thanks to wayne for bringing the stakes so we could fence of the harbour for safety,

congrats to lisha on her first win,, and for showing her dad (croppy boy) how to win a comp

I've said it once & I'll say it again, Leisha must get her angling skills from her mother

I wonder will the seniors catch as many fish in 2 weeks time

Great to see the youngsters getting into the sport. Even better to see them catching fish!

a big well done to the organisers of the junior comp,great to see kids out fishing, and the adults incouraging them,not enough of that going on. so well done to all

this was really great fun to see the juniors so hyped over the smallest of whiting, and when they were giving there medals,,,i cant wait for the next one,,
and once again fair play to the parents or guardians who came and helped out

id like to thank all the lads for there help on the day as well it was a cold one but i think everyone had fun and thats the main thing.
