Was out the other night and my Brother caught this Coalie,
and I was just wondering if anyone else has caught one like it.
I haven't ever seen one like this before
Possible new sub species ?? pug nosed Coalfish like with pike

looks like a whiting pollack cross to me the protruding lower jaw like a pollack the colour and scales of a whiting ???????????????????????

Judging by all the blood (and the busted top jaw), I'd say Steve Collins caught this one

Top jaw wasn't busted that's the shape it was, unfortunately it swallowed the circle hook
which accounted for the blood.
As for Steve Collins i'm not sure if its a female or a bouncer

It happens, I've had Pollack with itty bitty teeny weeny top lips before, probably either a mutant or it's has a whack when it was young and fragile. Last one I had like that was about 2lb so it obviously hadn't effected its feeding.

Looks like a weird coalie to me! Was maybe caught before and was damaged?
