People:Me
Duration: 2 Hours
Tide:Low Water around 6
Weather:dd Mild, North Wind (i think), No Surf
Bait:Crab
dd
Rigs: In-Line Feeder Rig
Results: 3 Bass (2 Returned)
Report:
A mate asked asked me yesterday to catch her a bass for a dinner tomorrow. Considering the conditions I told her I couldn't promise anything and I knew I couldn't go pluggin today so it was goin to be difficult. Decided on an estuary mark because I knew there would be a flow of tide after low water which would increase my chances. Got 3 and kept the middle weight one, which was a nice fish (pictured). All in all I'm pleased enough.

Ah come on now mate,
I've heard that them waterford Bass jump outta the water and onto the hooks in your tackle box, they're that easy to catch
Try fishing for them in Dublin
But seriously, welldone pal, always nice to go out to fish for a species....and catch it

1. Now why would I go up ta Dublin when all the bass are down here?
2. Thanks, for the positive comments. I'm new to the site and was very sceptical about posting up about my catches. If your successful at anything . . . . .!
3. Young Rod - I have an explanation up on the tips board for the rig/s. Make up a few and try em and see how you get on yourself.
4. Hope to get out pluggin tomorrow. If I do, watch this space

well done shore king that was a handy session . Hoping to get down your way when the wind turns southerly again , Whenever that will be

Craigo,
its blowing a gale outside at the moment (seems westerly but it's hard to tell when your inside!). The teletext says that its to get to storm force and then go south west (my favourite) overnight tonite. Again it's to be very strong. This mite mess up my intended pluggin session for today but at least it should be good for the shore if the water colours up. Tomorro nght could be very good - I have a mark in mind!
