Report:when i started was a bit breezy but nice and sunny. Within 20 minutes started to rain and blow a gale. The tripod got blown over so i reeled in and found i had hooked a small turbot around 15cm. A new species for me so left happy.

Nice one with the Turbot. Waterfoot Pier is quite an exposed mark, if the wind picks up too much you should move to the beach chum.

cheers Rab. I must try the beach sometime. The pier is just handy for the car when the rains about. Is the beach best close to the river or at the other end?

I think the whole way along the beach fishes well but I would normally fish close to the river.

Unlucky with the weather. At least you saved a blank and added a new species so it wsnt a total loss.
