People:me

Duration:2200-0030

Tide:hw @ 2300

Weather:clear, 2 heavy showers and a brisk W/ breeze

Bait:fresh black lug

Rigs:3 hook flapper, 2 hook clipped down

Results:3 flounder 22cm, 25cm, 29cm. 2 bass 2lb each

Report:arrived to find a nice surf running. unfortunately there were a good few kelp stalks around the beach and this problem was further compounded when my first cast resulted in a lost trace because of the weed. funnily though this was my only encounter with weed for the night. co-incidence i guess. the other notable observation of the trip was the amount of bio-luminescent plankton in the surf. amazing to see but the stuff kept getting caught in my line resulting in little blobs of goo every few yards.

anyway back to the fishing. nothing spectacular.all the fish came from an hour and a quarter before hw to an hour after.the 2 bass came withing 10 minutes of each other 40 minutes after hw. had one flounder and bass at about 100 yds and the rest about 30 yds out.the best floundeer came at distance agian which seems to be a trend for this beach
