Sun Sep 28, 2008 7:48 pm

People: Daniel & Myself

Duration: 8:00 - 13:00

Tide: High at 11:00

Weather:dd Chilly start, nice later.

Bait: Rag, Prawn & Mussels
dd
Rigs: 2 up 1 down

Results: Plenty of Wrasse including our 3 biggest of the year, 2 Coalies, 2 very small codling & lots of small pollack.

Report: Great morning's sport. We met some really nice guys including Vamper from a rival forum LOL.

One wee fella caught a nice Dab about 10" long. Absolutely lovely fish.

The fish came in short bursts. We got a few wrasse, then a few coalies, then more wrasse, then some pollack etc.

We got our 3 biggest wrasse of the year. Daniel naturally got the 2 biggest.

At one point we were pulling in the wrasse two at a time!

My experiment with the mussels seemed to work!

One of the big wrasse took a big lump of prawn but most fish fell to the ragworm.

Don't get too excited. The codling were about 5" long! I guess it's a start though.
