People: mga & myself
Duration: 20:15 - 03.15
Tide: Low to full
Weather: nice clear evening/night
Bait: Rag, Sandeel, Razor
Rigs: 2 hook bomber, and 2 up one down
Results: mga 1 lesser weaver, me 2 sea trout 1 flounder
Report: Got a call from mga to see if i fancied a session, couldn't have been better timed as my other half had borrowed my car and i was sitting at home with some rag in the fridge (many thanks Keith

) Decided to head over to Clare and try for bass. Arrived at the mark and set up one rod each the tide was just after peaking at low, we cast out and waited. We were getting taps to start with but no hook ups

then after about two hours mga got a another tap and sure enough this time a fish came in a lesser weaver

. Things were very slow but we lived in hope that the flooding tide would bring with it some fish. After 5hrs fishing i got a tap that looked like typical flattie bite then i got hit again with a more aggresive bite... bass i was thinking

reeled in to find a sea trout (my first ever) and a flounder

tide was near full at this stage. At last there was some sign of life out there. We fished on over the high tide very slow going then about an hour after the last fish i got hit, agressive take again more so than the first. Reeled in to find another sea trout coming through the shallows

we fished on for another hour with no more action to be had. It was very slow going in fairness. We were speaking to a local angler who was walking his dogs and he said he'd seen trawler lights coming in close to shore early in the morning

He said that the fishing this year in around the whole area had been poor and competitions they've held have produced poor results.
