dd
Rigs:pulley rigs, 2 hook flappers, float rigs
Results:combined total- 8 mackeral, 7 pollock to 3lb, 2 coalfish, 1 small conger and too many wrasse to count
Report:Drove over from Belfast hoping for a really good day. Day started well with us quickly hitting a few mackeral for nice fresh bait. For whatever reason though, the rest of the day was really pretty tough. The only things that were in the mood were the wrasse, most of which were small, although a few were landed around the 2-3 lb mark-great scrap on a wee spinning rod!!! The pulleys and flappers were very quiet, despite a really good selection of bait. Fished right through the high water, and several hours out again. Finished the day with a wee strap conger. Atleast the wrasse kept us happy, and a good days craic was had by all. Definately the worst day we've had at the gunwell though.
