CORKWING WRASSE, PLAICE, FLOUNDER, AND A TURBOT......???:




hit greystones to wet a line for a few hours got there 1730 and set up, first cast brought me a palm sized flounder second cast got a rattle and retrieved a big suprise for the east coast and for me as ive never got one, a small turbot a very welcome little fish in my species hunt for 2008 well chuffed. tryed feathering for mack but none about. fished a float and got a corkwing another species but one was enough and decided to concentrat on bait rod as it was getting constant rattles and i missed a good rattle and then a slack line maybe bass porbably dog though it didnt look like dog. missed two definate doggys but my session was coming to and end and i was chuffed with turbot. got a small plaice next and decided to finish up. but a lad beside me got a river eel and i need that one too soo tried two last casts but wasnt to be and dinner was getting cold so i was told so wrapped it up very happy with my new species :

Congrats on the turbot, a real nice suprise for greystones, you must be pleased with yourself

yeah it was a great little lift and so unexpected couldnt have planned it if i tryed thats why i love fishing definately gonne break the 30 mark now as theres a few easier species ive still to target

nice one have fished greystones for over 20 years on and off and never had a turbot
