Report: we decided to return to our old haunt to case the place out for tomorrows meet with dawsey to see what was happening. we've sort of been camped out at bangor lately due to the fact that it's fishing so well at the moment. but back to our roots it was   the first 4 hours were dead with not so much as a nibble. the bites only started as the tide began to turn back in, and it was the crabs that started to bite     i got the first fish of the day around 3pm a
nice little corkwing wrasse taken on the bottom on rag and prawn. then 40 mins or so later another corkwing on the same trace and bait :D . then nothing until around 7pm when the pollock moved in and started taking the rag on the floats     jordan was cleaning up and leaving me wondering what i was doing wrong :? :? :? :? :? then i noticed the drop on his float rig was only 3 feet or so, where i had mine at 7 foot . so i sliped the stop knot towards the float and was almost instantly into a pollock      so much for me showing him how to fish     pollock followed pollock until 9pm when i started to pack up, but junior was not for moving as the fish were still feeding. so i got to talking with a local lad who was spinning with feathers and i mentioned i had never chucked a trace down here as i always bait fish. but seeing as junior was'nt for moving until he was out of bait i re- set the beachcaster with a home made feather trace and 30 casts or so in i got a hit    it felt decent enough so i thought it was likely a couple of mackeral. but to my suprise it was a decent pollock who weighed in on the digital scales at 1lb 14 oz the biggest of the session        i was well chuffed. so what began as a slow session ended pretty well, and it looks like donaghadee is still fishing better after dark  can't wait to see what it throws up tonight when dawsey comes down
