me:
4 hours:
rising:
fine:
rag/mackeral/sandeel:
three hook flapper:
one doggy, 2 goldsinney wrasse, lost count of corkwing wrasse (over 15) 3 pollock, thousands of blennies (not tompots..??):
had a day off work so decided to hit killiney as everyone else seems to get plenty of fish from it, got to the carpark and went left down the beach and decided to set up by the boulders on the beach as there was no swimmers there. things had a couple of casts and bait was just stripped off with no bites so whacked it out and decided to spin a bit in the hope of a bass or fresh mack but to no avail. but the time away from the bait rod brought me a good size doogie so the blank was saved back out and got a small rattle off a flat but dropped him on the retrieve. i had origionally planned to fish some rock marks there but dont know them too well and the only rock mark i could see was in the opposite direction of my car so i decided to shift marks altogether and moved to rocks at dalkey. some mack bashers there but having very little luck and any macks they were getting the seals were plucking them off before they could land them. i han a few casts to try pick up some macks but no joy. whacked a three hook flapper out and set up the float rig on my spinning rod and got straight into the wrasse and didnt stop, got two goldsinneys my first for my species count this year so well chuffed i got out and then i hit a blenney another species :D :D :D over the moon. picked up stacks of them once i had located them , they werent tompots and were a black with yellow flecks i forgot the camera so no picks but i know where they are now so ill get a picture in the near future for identification. picked up a couple of small pollock too. had over forty fish in all with too new species so well on the way too breaking the 30 barrier. well chufffed with the session and decided to call it a day as the mack bashers had arrived in force   .:
