People:me, sometimes others

Duration: various

Tide: various

Weather: pretty good overall

Bait: lures, bread, limpet, mackerel, sandeel, razor, mussell

Rigs: various

Results: ballan, corkwing, different gobies and blennys, pollock, coalfish, huss, mullet, mackerel.

Report: Got out nearly every day over 2 weeks but sessions were normally just a stolen hour or two here and there. Severel general rock marks around the dungloe area didn't produce great results. Pollock, wrasse and conger were the main targets. In locatins that seemed perfect I didn't manage to connect with many fish :? , no conger appeared but one small huss was a nice surprise. Marks that screamed wrasse produced zilch, it was only on the last evening at a new venue did I finally get a good few in an hour long session. Even the pollock weren't really playing ball but rising night tides saw a decent amount in the 1-2lbs bracket caught.

I fished from the rocks in the bay for mullet with floating bread during a few early mornings. A few times shoals would come in and nose every piece of surface bead (and my float) but they didn't seem to be actualy feeding. I dropped down to a tiny hook size and soon connected with a decent fish but sure enough it was actually hooked just outside the mouth.

I also fished Cruit sound one day hoping for a ray but only managed two pollock while retrieving the sandeel bait.

So nothing spectacular but really enjoyed it all the same

Unfortunatly though I dropped my ipod in a rockpool and now its not working, anyone got any tips that might revive it? Also  , I snapped my fladden travel carp rod while casting feathers and a 1oz spinner. I wasn't really paying attention  and suddenly 'crack' and the tip went seaward. It seems there may have been a feather hooked in a ring when I cast. Should it have snapped? anybdy have experience with Fladen, much point in contacting them about it?
