greystones rock mark 4-8-08

Duration:9.45 to 1 am

Tide:full at 2 am ish

Weather:calmer than a woman on valium

Bait:lug razor

Rigs:two hook flapper

Results:8 doggies ,2 flounder, 8 small whiting and a lobster(lost two more :twisted: )




Report:managed to head out to use up some lug ,tide was late and big doggies everywhere till the tide started to move ,all fish 60 yards out ,did a bit of groundbaiting to attract flats and had a lobster session instead :lol: they dont fight much mind you not till you pick em up :roll:

Well done Roger, Greystones is one of my favourite marks,handy in every way and nearly always produces. You didnt happen to see Big Mick fishing there last night? He has a nasty habit of outfishing me with bait left on the hooks from his previous trips :evil: . He's the guy with the beard on the left in the photo. He told me he caught doggies, flounder, whiting and 1 mack.

no didnt see a sinner ,had to do a clean up on the mark it was full of empty bud and cider bottles left it clean as a whistle dont want us angler,s getting a bad name :wink:

You might of caught the lobster, but I bet you didnt grow the spuds :wink:

Caught a lobster off wicklow pier myself a few months back, doesnt it taste so much better knowing its free :D

Lobster looks great. Maybe you should just concentrate on catching them-
Fair play on the clean up. There is a lot of pigs down in greystones.
