People:myself & fmcd

Duration: 9.30 11.30pm

Tide:filling

Weather: balmy calm evening

Bait: half rotten, mac, lug, peeler, razor, squid

Rigs: freeline, 3 hook flapper, pulley

Results: small pollack

Report: headed to spiddal pier to use up the bait but it was well populated with bashers - so headed back to default barna

was empty so at least a bit of peace - could see small flounder and pollack there

couldnt tempt out the flounder - small pollack obliged on small hooks for a bit of sport

worm and mac favourite

the boatmen had thrown so much mac overboard that the crabs were busy and dead ones were moving all the time!

no small wrasse to be had

crabs even went quiet at one stage

thought more fish might appear as ht approached but no joy

couldnt really tell what this particular fish was but it was attacking a floating bit of plastic for about 30 seconds possible derranged mack or seatrout would have said well over 2 pound

had another rod at distance - always came back untouched - only once was a crab near it - maybe too manky

handy quick session anyway at a mark i never tried before
