Report:Arrived at Kilmichael having decided that clones beach was too busy with tourists etc. Had this beach all to ourselves and had high hopes   ,,,,, but after a few casts with the baits coming back untouched i was starting to get worried :? :? . Tried various combinations of rag,lug mack but to no avail,,,,, i think i got one little feeble bite all evening. Neil was fishing 2 rods, 1 at distance and one in close and after crossing his lines with a miscast i helped him untangle his lines. The lines uncrossed , he asked me to tighten up the line on the rod close in , which i did. The reason i'm mentioning my part in this action ,,is that when he reeled in there was a double of a dab and a weaver fish on the rig  I reckon that the way i tighted up the line attracted the dab and the weaver   . I'm always glad to help out a fellow angler   . Seriously though,,,, the weaver fish could easily have been mistaken for a small whiting if you were unfamiliar with them and i was glad to get the chance to see one up close,,,, only the second one i've ever seen. We were expecting things to liven up at dusk but it didnt happen and we packed up at 11pm. Worst part of the evening was that a family had a barbecue right behind us and the slight breeze that was there carried the smell of burgers, sausages etc right by our noses. Neil shouted up "We'll be up in a minute", but they didnt get the hint   I'm in bad need of catching a fish now to put this blank (2nd) behind me
