People:me and colin c

Duration:4hrs

Tide:2hrs either side of high

Weather:warm,breezy

Bait:bread,

Rigs:floats,flies

Results:mullet

Report:We headed to mark one at around 5:30 and were greeted by a stiff breeze :( but decided to have a go anyway.I opted for my float rod while Colin used the fly rod.The wind died just enough to make fishing quite nice but for some strange reason we hardly saw a mullet :? There had been hundreds every day for the past week except today
We packed up and headed for mark two where i`ve been catching every day for the past 4 days :) I stopped along the way to get my car MOT`d then i was all set for the next session. We both went for fly rods, and i found a little white dry fly which i trimmed so it would sink,i was hoping the mullet were still feeding on the small bits of bread like yesterday.I gave a similar fly to Colin but the pratt left it in the car  and had to make do with a piece of artificial bread which fortunately sank slowly after he trimmed it a bit.
Loads of mullet around but they didn`t hang around like the other days so fishing was a bit frantic as we tried to catch some before they disapeared.Colin had missed one as i arrived which gave us some hope.We followed the fish chucking our flies at them and throwing them free bread to try to keep them still.
Finally i had a pluck on the little furry fly but i missed it :( all was not lost as i didn`t have to wait long for the next fish to grab it.This one didn`t come off and put up a great fight on my new fly rod, which was being well and truely christened :D at first i thought it was a small fish of around 2lb but it turned out to be a very nice 4lb mullet, the same size as my first fly caught mullet last year.A quick photo and it was back in the water.
We both missed a couple of fish before they moved away.A great end to a very quiet day.

Nice work again Davy, I dropped past at about 8.30 this evening to see if I could see you guys in action, looked like there was a lot happening down there. But your report is 100% accurate they looked to be moving out very quickly, and the fly rods were getting put through their paces. Still considering a pop at them myself however was fishing Bangor harbour today for 3.5hours and was fished out

On that note in the smaller cove towards the front of Bangor there was at least 40/50 mullet scouring the area for a long time. I wasn't geared for mullet but stole a bit of my mates roll that he was having for lunch and had a quick 15mins bash. They were not interested, wern't feeding but as I was leaving for the mack stand a few fellas landed down, they had left by the time I got back round.
