while the mullet continued to drive me mental......

I havent fished for Mullet yet myself, but from what I have heard about them..........get used to it, there's usually only 1 winner in that battle, and guess what......its not the angler

Better luck next time though

unlucky dan, stick with it mate. it will happen   try dropping down to coarse size hooks, apparently you get more hook - up's that way  that's what i'm told anyway

I always use a course feeder rod with swimfeeder and size 14 hook. I reckon anything bigger and you're limiting your chanes due to their finiky nature. Half slice of bread threaded through the feeder.
Anyone see Henry on Discovery Real Time last week fishing for mullet in Kerry, he used a piece of mackerel on the hook and then 'lasood' (spelling) a big chunk of mackerel between the dropper and the lead - seemed quite effective.

i was a feeder rod with a waggler and a size 12 hook, with bread, maggot or worm on it. does any1 think it is worth while puttin some liquidised bread mixed with mack in to an onion sack and leavin it out for a couple of days.

id say use the time fishing and figuring out their habits where they congregate etc.

if you havent hooked up after a few sessions then start the ground bait with the net bag

try the baits serparately - if they start taking the bread stick to that etc.

was goin to try the fly but there was abit of a breeze and i mite have spooked them as they were quite jumpy as there had been canoes in the water before we fished it.
