Report:
After one month this is my 1st report after reading and searching about the Dee decided to go down, set the gear up, myself using light spinning gear just for the float and ian a heavier set up for fishing the bottom.

Got to the lighthouse another guy was already there, was talking away to him telling me lastnite they where catching 2-3 pounders thinking great.

Launched the float out, sea was quite choppy not really float weather but thought what the hell, more or less as soon as the bait went down seen the float twicth, struck after about 30 seconds brilliant got one, got it to the surface and looked aww no it about the length of my hand :( and this continued all throughout the session, nothing of any real size coming up trying larger hooks and bigger bait still wouldnt let any larger fish have a go, but nothing of any real size went for anything.

Ian moves to use a trace then he's on the tiddlers too lol  but at lreast i can now start a species list now :D

pics or well if u want to call them pics will be on 2nite

I've found it tricky getting decent pollock myself.

Had a few to 2/3 pound mark close to the shore off a small rental boat, but they seem hard to come by from the shore above the 1lb size :(

yeah i know the size of them at the moment arent really anything to be shouting about, hoping to get up to the North Antrim coast and hope to get somthing for the Freezer

try fishing after dark with glow in the dark beads above your hook, and don't be shy with the bait. i use rag, mack and squid and loads of bait elastic to avoid the tiddlers, works for me
