Sun Jun 08, 2008 1:50 pm

People:me

Duration:7pm-10.30pm

Tide:low

Weather:, fine, breezy, dying off later

Bait:lug, mack

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:1 plaice, 1 flounder, 3 whiting, 2 doggies

Report: Arrived in greystones loaded with plenty of lug(dug meself :) ) and mack (dunnes stores  ). The rock mark looked promising with only 2 anglers there so I says to myself" there'll be plenty of room". When I went down to talk to the 2 lads I could see there was somebody else down where I was heading,,,,,, reading a book   . 32 counties in Ireland, benches all around, and he picks the best fishing mark in the place to take up with his book   . I set up beside him ( HE NEVER LOOKED UP FROM HIS BOOK   ), and a few well aimed blood spurts from the lug saw him off . "So sorry about that",  . First cast produced a plaice, and the bites were coming all evening.Flounder next, nice one of 30 cms, followed by a dog. Got talking to the two guys from earlier, who were just starting out fishing, and i hope i helped them out a bit . Got another dog and 3 small whiting, all on lug tipped with mack. Lost two dogs while trying to get lower down the rocks to haul them up   . The wind died down and it was a beautiful place to be on a Sat night, I could have stayed there all night, but i had no light with me  .
