Report:
session 1:
arrived at mark around the high tide and set up, scorcher of a day that was in it with clear sky and a slight breeze it looked promising, doggies were on the menu after a short while and a flounder showing up for me early looked good, darkness prevailed and we waited for an onsaught of bites but it wasnt to happen, however a steady stream of bites came through the night and with a second flounder to me as the sun was on the horizon i was slowly catching up on salty dog who had been ahead o me by a fish or two the whole time.
we finished with a draw of 12 fish each, 12 doggies for salty and 10 doggies and 2 flounder for me, back to base then for a nightcap G'n'T for me and whiskey and a glass of bucky for salty

session 2:
joined by a friend of salty's wee set of for another mark slightly more north  , with a promise of a few smoothies, coffee was made and put in a flask, chinese takeaway's were left behind for a feast upon our return.
after a slight treck along the beach we set up by the deeper part of the beach, as soon as we cast out there was no time before the bites came, with doggies and saltydog plucked out a nice flounder, not long after i managed to pluck out a nice dab from the water, good size too :)
it wasnt long before screems of TOPE were shouted up the beach, but it wasnt to be, instead it was a nice starry smoothound :D nice to see them playing ball, a change of tactics for me soon saw me with my first starry of the year, not long after i got a double shot of a starry and a doggie, happydays :D, the bites were begining to slacken around 1:30am but by this stage we all had quite a few fish between us, i managed to pull out another smoothie around 2am and after that it went quiet, time for coffee :D  as low tide came about a change of tactics saw me pull out a nice flounder (which currently resides in the bottom of the fridge as i'm typing this report up), trying to stave off sleep and cold saw us pack up and leave just after the sun made an appearence.
a good session if i must admit, for a while it looked like we would have an early return due with all the fish we were catchin :D
the end total:
saltydog: 7doggies, 1 flounder, 1 starry smoothound
me: 9 doggies, 2 flounder, 1 dab, 3 starry smoothound
3rd person: 4 doggies

reheated the chinese and a night cap of bushmills (and bucky for the two lads) saw us get to bed about 8:30am...

more reports will follow ;)

Because he rang me to tell me about his enormous smoothound. It was only about 7 lbs short of being a specimen. :D
