Tide:HW 15:00

Weather:Calm and sunny with some fog

Bait:Mack and sandeels

Rigs:5/0 pulleys

Results:2 thornbacks and a doggie

Report:Hopes were high for a good days ray fishing with the good weather and a bucket full of fresh bait.Made a great start to the session with a 8lbs(guess) female ray on my first cast, but fishing was very slow after that with only one more ray of 4lbs towards the end.Rays put a savage bend in the rods, trying to get them in was hard work as we were fishing into deepish water with a strong current. We were plauged by weed at times and strugled to hold bottom even with 7oz grip leads.Sandeels proved useless as crabs had them stripped quickly so only bait usefull was a tightly wrapped mack fillet skin side out.Going to give this mark another good fish later today as im sure we missed lodes of bites yesterday but was hard to tell with the weed and currents.
