People: myself, jack and eric

Duration: 9-12

Tide: filling

Weather: windy chilly dry

Bait: rag, refrozen blacks, fresh whiting

Rigs: loop rigs, 3 hook flappers, pats, spinners

Results: pollack, dogs, dabs, whiting, shore rockling

Report: nothing doing down at whiterock for half an hour - too much weed so moved north up the coast

first casts were made and eric went spining on another rock - got a small pollack - blank saved - then jack brought in a dog on rag

i was persisting on my rotten lug at relative distance with no joy

next eric brought in a dog - and jack went spinning - he gets a nice pollack of 1.5lb and another i think

then i try the spinning but naturally its all dead - probably missed the start of the dusk and it was too dark

at this stage jack gets a dab

then eric gets a double (dog and dab) and takes my line with it!

not looking very good at all!

resolved to drop the rotten lug down the side to pick anything out - and up shows a 25cm rockling with a massive fat belly - blank saved

eric got a whiting and then entertained notions of a conger and put it back out on a 6/0 - but nothing doing

at this stage the two lads put rods down the side for other species and eric got his rockling

poor session for me in that i didnt get into much fish ( totally under prepaired on the gear front) - but a nice range of species and fishing at this fast water venue that in all honesty i wasnt expecting much

probably missed another fish or two that the lads caught - aswell as having my suspicions that i dropped 1 or 2 in the way in myself
