Bray Sunday 12th Dec

Mon Dec 13, 2004 12:26 am

We fished Bray today between the Harbour and the Aquarium from 11am to 3pm as part of our yearly Christmas/Fun Day for the senior and junior members. We had the best of bait which included Mackeral, Lugworm, Mussel, Peeler Crab, Squid and Sandeel but sadly it turned out to be a very poor days fishing with only 3 fish (2 small Coalies and a small Whiting) being caught. We had heard reports that Cod had being caught during the week here but none showed on this day, even the crabs were not eating the bait. Rigs were coming back in the way they went out (full of bait), we tried in close, out far and everything in-between but sadly for the kids (and ourselves) it was to be a day of blank's. The only real fish to be had was from the chipper up the road.
