Arrived at the beach at about 12:30. It did not look promising. Hardly any surf, slight breeze coming slightly from the East. One angler was already there, Pat. He told me the place was plagued with weed. I made one cast to see for myself which resulted in a ton of the stuff. I decided to change venue when on my off the beach Pat reckoned the weed would go once the tide picks up. I set up again; 2-3 hours nothing. Then the flounders came on the feed. Busy enough for about an hour. I caught six good sized Flounders, smallest 36cm; largest 42cm. They all took day old lug. Then it was quiet again.
The highlight of the day was a Basking shark about 150 yard out. Doing his rounds up and down the length of the beach. I couldn't make a picture as my camera phone can't zoom.

Fair play for sticking it out...good things come to those that wait. Did U get them in that gulley you were eyeing up?
