Bray Head

Wed Apr 16, 2008 10:14 am

Went to Bray Head after reading rapalajoe's report last night for a spot of spinning. Started fishing about 18.30 and finshed at 20.10 just before high tide. Caught nothing, a lovely evening all the same.

Just wondering what tactic/technique that u use and what lure???Spinner???plug???
Just a tip from my observation. In this time of the year where the temp is not heat up enuff......most deep mark will produce fish, most of the time they re there in deep spot but not too aggressive.I choose plastic lure because i can fish it deep to the bottom and i can work it slow. The fish tend to not interested on anything that is work fast as oppose to in summer....they look for something which is slow and can be an easy meal.Spinner and spoon can be use and jig slowly at the bottom, but still consider as an expensive investment and have a hi potential to snag, same goes to plug....easy and expensive to loose.I would say that in summer, even at the deep marks, the fish are willing to rise up from the deep to snatch a top water plug.Cheeerrrss...

Spinning

Rapalajoe

Some good tips there. I was spinning at 1/2 depth with a medium to fast retrieve. I was using a toby lure. I'll keep that in mind next time I go there

Cheers.
