Duration 4 Hours
Tide Low
breezy: Strong North Easterly
Mackrel & Sand Eel cocktail
2 Ring Paternostral
Fantastic day. Dogs, Dab & Thornback(+4lb). And Wrasse on the float
Decided to give this a go based on the "suspected mark" on this website. I wasn't expecting much as high tide was 6am and i started at 10am. But the White lady Mark is very deep just off the rocks.
First cast produced a dog within 3 mins. More dogs followed. First big hit was a Thornback in excess of 4lb. ( I did not bring my scales as did not expext much on low tide so you'll have to believe me). Super fight. Severl dogs followed. Could not get past them no matter how big the bait. A Dab followed on a single sand eel. Got annoyed with all the dogs so float fished for Wrasse just beyond the kelp. 15 mins to first Wrasse.
All fish were caught with no more than a 50m cast out on to sand.
I have a suspicion that there are Garfish given some of my lost bites on the float.
Superb spot and i am very surprised that i was the only one there.
Cant wait to try this again when tide is oncoming or full. Huge potential here
Have photos which ill update later. (Small issue with dropping phone on the rocks on route back to car but im told photos will still be on it. Fingers crossed.
Tips. Dodgy walk through bog from Pier to this mark... Watch the ankles.. But once through this its safe enough to sea shore and would be ok to bring young anglers under supervision. Enjoy

Well done Lionel, great fishing there mate :D
I am heading over to Clifden next weekend and plan to take the rods.
Any help/advice of this mark (directions also) and any others around the area would be great. My friend and I are not distance casters (yet  ) so marks that fish well 100 yards inwards would be superb
Feel free to pm me if you dont want to disclose the info to the world
Your info will of course be held in the strictest of confidence.
Thanks in advance

No Problem
Directions as follows
From Clidfen follow the Ballyconnelly road out of town. you will be taking the 2nd right turn where it is sign posted for the Alcock and Brown memorial site. (About a mile) Follow this road (If you can call it that) for about another mile and keep to the right the whole way down to the end and you will reach the pier. Park up here. From the pier follow the costline to the right and you will see a Big White cement marker right on the corner of the headland. (About a 10 min walk) Thats your spot. Right behind this marker you will see the deep pools just below the rocks...
Best of luck and make sure & let us know how you get on....
