1st time posting on SAI.fairly new to sea fishing,i'm very interested in fishing the local sand spit in dungarvan(cunnigar)especially cause of it's easy access and heard loads of reports of great bass fishing+the odd bream.have been out there few times but havent a clue where to start or what method is best-ANY TIPS?saw some strange lights there on mon 31/03/08 approx1.15am fairly close to shore!.was i seeing things or is this actually happening in such an open position on coast line in full view of everyone :evil: :evil: i could even hear an engine running :evil: :?:

Do a search (second option on line below Sea Angling Ireland above) on the shore angling reports with Cunnigar as the search keyword.
Failing that drop Cortaz a PM!

You will need the expert.......Cortaz.
When tide is out it can be very tricky and possibly dangerous on the Cunnigar.
I suspect that the lights were poachers.

cheers!checked out a search on cunnigar-there's a wealth of info on it-have to get back later to chech it ALL out.will take couple of hours--cortaz seems to be the man alright

U.F.O.s :shock: what were r u on ? !!! "Mushrooms :P " 8) :) they might have been the lights marking the outside of the oyster beds, they are about a mile out ?,.

:lol: :lol: jaayjus i wasn't that bad-seriously it was there to be seen by all!-light came from right of car park moved inside of oysters and headed out towards point stopped approx 3 times for 10-15 mins-GLAD to hear there's some kind of markers around oyster beds-got badly damaged there couple of years ago KITE SURFIN!
