Tide:falling i think

Weather: bit windy no rain some sunny spells

Bait:mack frozen lug sandeel and mussle

Rigs:3 hook flapper and 1 tied down

Results:1 sand dab (i think)




Report: was staying in wicklow for a few days so
headed down to try clones strand. i tried tara cove last summer had no joy. i was fishing north of where the river meats the sea at clones on thursday and i thought i might have done better but not to worry only starting out fishing. my first sand dab.was using a 6.0z weight all day.
for the last half hour i put a size 6 aberdeen hook tied down on with half a mackerell on to try my look for something big!
any tips suggestions were i went wrong would be much appreciated

i try to always fish at night, find it a lot better than the day, try vary your distances to see where the fish are feeding, they can be in very close at times, suggest u join a club ,good craic and info, hope i was somehelp :wink:

for starters some hooks with the 6 oz weight would help and if you want something big a 6/0 hook might help a 6 is a bit small :D only slaggin read what you said knew what you ment :D at least you got a fish was out yesterday and all i got was two good soakins and a crab :oops: serves me right for targeting dublin bass :lol:
