Report:decided to try the same strand as last week after a certain someone caught a bass there last week(you know who you are:wink:) when we arrived a lovely surf was running in so hopes where high. after an hour of fishing and not a bite in site we weren't feeling so lucky anymore, then another passed by and i decided it was a fitting moment for the flounder walk.must have walked a good mile or so when i returned , jack was beginning to go insane and started reeling in and casting his trace by hand despite the fact his gear was in good working order  ever the optimist i knew we had to catch something, conditions looked to good not to, however i too could feel the fishless fever gain its grasp on me and with my rig in the wonder a for a little over half an hour i decided to try jack approach, i waded out to knee height and started to pull the trace in, first glimpse of the trace and the signs of a fish where not good, it appeared that i had caught a leaf, however the leaf soon turnt into an 11cm turbot of all things, first one ever, and from the east coast made it all the more sweeter. not another fish was caught until dark, whne jack got a fantastic coalie at 38cm and a 20cm rockling, i finished the evening with a pin.
