People: me and petekd
Duration: 21:30 - 00:15
Tide: rising from LW
Weather: calm, cold
Bait: some fresh lug and dregs from the freezer (razor, sandeel)
Rigs: pulley and flappers
Results: 1 coalie to me and a few other rattles
Report:
After another bass, but not to be. Should have been a coalie fest given the calm conditions, but apart from the occasional bite and an interesting slack liner the coalie was the only fish landed (on fresh lug) about 40yds out -just beyond the small surf. At least I didn't catch a 5 bearded rockling this time!
The bait bandit fox was out in force again, not content with the sandeels that Pete was practically hand feeding him, he sneaked round behind me and pulled a few bits of bait out of my bucket. I managed to retrieve most of it, but let him keep the rest of the sandeels.
Pete retired early to the warmth of the car underwhelmed by the fishing and in an effort to keep his toes.

Aye, 'twas pretty baltic out there alright. Can usually tell on arrival whether that beach is going to fish or not and it didnt look good from the off with only a tiny surf to play with. Lost interest fairly quickly and once the fox arrived to play with, that was me gone  . Did manage a few chucks with the latest toy, a Century CM SRE 5m that absolutely belted a lead away so that was alright.
