Report:Got a call to go fishing at 3.30 in the afternoon by Paul Coady to go fishing - seeing as i wasn't drinking i decided to with him. As it was a dropping tide i took the two lads down to packs strand. The first half hour there was no action apart from me complaining about the last 2 times i fished in ballybrannigan with them and vowing to never fish that beach again in daylight. After our conversation about their choice of venues was finished with, the fish started to turn up. Niall was first to catch with a coalies over 30cm, my rod wasn't moving and coady had got snagged. A couple of casts later while coady was moaning about his trace and shockleader etc i brought in a flat of 41cm, while i was unhooking it coady decided to move as he had been snagged again and lost another trace and some more shockleader. As the tide went out a bit more the fishing picked up and we all started getting bites, niall with a couple more coalies about 30cm and a cod about 25cm, Coady managed a flat of 25cm and a couple of coalies about 30cm and i ended up with a couple of coalies about 30 cm and a rockling about 15cm. None of us got any bites in the last half hour so it was time to go.
