People: Myself & Fruity
Duration:6 Hours
Tide:MEGA flood
Weather:4 Seasons three times round
Bait:Mackerel, Squid
Rigs: 1 Up, 1 Down & Three Hook flapper
Results: Flounder, Turbot & Whiting
Report:We fished the flood into darkness, I didnt know about the low pressure spring tide thing, But realised something was up when the water was level with the pier!! I got a small turbot on the first cast, Flounder an hour or so later & nothing but whiting as soon as it got dark for about another hour, The we left, Had another stab at the congers during the day but no good, Water was farto rough anyway I think!!

Well done on some nice fish!
My wee brother and I normally fish the pier during the summer when we're staying in the caravan site in tullagh. Really weird to hear about a whiting getting caught as we'd never asscociate them with the pier!
Looks like the top photo is a plaice to me? The four or five bony nodules running between the eyes running back towards the lateral line are characteristic of Plaice.
Any size to the whiting? I hope thay stay long enough so i can have a cash at them?!?!
