People: Dan, Me

Duration: 6.30pm - 9.30pm

Tide: Pushing

Weather: 1 Squal, Windy

Bait: Rag, Sandeel, Mack

Rigs: Scratchers

Results: Pollack, Coalies, Pouting, Rockling

Report: Got fed up waiting to see what the weather was doing so the phonecall was made to the other half of "Team McMinn". He had no objections and we were on our way to the Dee within the hour.

Got set up with the usual scratching setups, and didn't have to wait long for the huge influx of Pollack and Pouting started hammering the Ragworm baits, with the Odd coaly to keep things interesting.

The wind was making Bites a wee bit of a problem to see so I decided to target the Rockling down the side, Easy really, a Mackeral Chunk on a size 1, didn't have to wait long til the only rockling of the night this 30cm Brute... can someone give me a positive I.D.? I was thinking it was a good sized Shorey?

Cheers for the Info Steve! Fishbase gives the Shorey a maximum size of 35cm so I figure it must be an absolute clonker!
