Bait:black lug, yellow tail lug, squid and peeler crab

Rigs: pennel pulleys and flappers

Results:cod, flounder, whiting

Report: travelled over on the 28th and on the friday we looked at the beaches for easy access and other little features that might hold fish.

sat - EASINGTON BEACH

fishing was slow to say the least and the tide pushed us up to higher ground when the tide started to fall the fish started but nothing great. the best fish was a codling of 1lb 9oz a tiddler to the locals lol. i managed a flounder of 28cm and am still baffled to how it managed a 4/0 down its gob. willy managed a whiting of 33cm under size. the size limit for whiting is 35cm over there.

sun - WAXHOMLE BEACH

all four of us blanked but there was fish on the beach a bass of 6lb and several cod of 6lb - 7lb too all fell to lug and squid at 60 yards

sat session was won with a cod of 16lb's which snapped up a whiting as the fellow was reeling it in...2 for the price of 1 you could say lol....there was loads more codling of between 8 and 10lb land and also a 9lb bass and some thornies too at around the 8lb mark. sunday the best fish was a 7lb codling from the guy that was to the left of me and the overall winner was the guy with the 16lber he land 2 more fish on the sunday of 6lb each...good weekend and we are already planning next years trip which is on the 7th and 8th of march....maybe i'll get that big 1 next year lol oh and forgot to mention on the friday there was a casting class running and it was being taken by none other than Danny Mosktop and Rodger Mortimer of TSF both guy give me some good solid advice too and very dead on
