Report:had the day off from college so decided to hit whiterock on the ebb and try for a conger in dalkey, first hour at whiterock yielded nothing at all bar a crab. once the water had retreated sufficiently and it tunrt into a surf beach the flounders came on the feed, first fish for me was a 30cm flounder which was followed by a lost double of little ones, saw both fish rise into the surf and when i saw the rig again the where gone  an overcast soon landed me a couple of whiting .jack arrived around 6 and on his first cast he landed a 33cm flounder, which was followed by two more smaller ones. fishing was tailing off as the tide came in, but managed another whiting for conger bait on my last cast.
arrived at dalkey and with such a mild calm night hopes where high. down went a mackerel and whiting flapper. set up a bait rod for pins, but couldn't catch one, managed a codling, a rock and lost a doggie bringing up the ledge. decided to avoid a blank i'd set up a rockling rod, and to my amazement i landed two shore rocklings, jack did the same and hooked one himself plus a pollock. nice enough evenings work
