Bait: frozen mackerel

Results: 1 whiting, small




Report: nothing much to report, nothing biting not even crabs. Bit of a dud really, got the whiting early, Bruce blanked.

i think there has been plenty of fishing pressure on the mark - more so than usual - but if all is failing at least the crabs wandering off with your bait keep you mildly entertained - strange they were quiet :shock:

Yeah, not even a doggie never mind a ray

Could be all the fresh water flooding into the bay has the true salt water fish scared off - been fairly torrential for the last week so maybe it was a case that whiting and flounder are fairly stubborn and like it brackish...

I was surprised we could find a flounder, expected to contact them

from my limited experience there, its more dabs than flounders that youll come across there - your talking about the rock mark not the beach round the corner?

Yes, it produces lots of dabs, specimens on a regular basis, but it also produces flounder especially further in where we were fishing...
