seeing as it was a calm day(first time in a long time) i decided to walk to on of the local beaches ans really put the zzippy profile to the test :)
cast out my other rod with a single hook clip down hen proceeded to wang a bit of lead to distance.. no idea where it went as it was getting dark but with the amount (or therefore lack of) line left on the reel i knew i was getting good distance, with little effort too :D :D
then clipped on a 3 hook flapper with mackerel tipped with squid (one cast before packing up) and managed to pull in a whiting and a shrimp :shock:

all you needed to do -cast again with what you got on the hooks....

Don't be mocking poor Steve, that shrimp is probably bigger than the five bearded rockling I got at the SAI comp the other week.....

well it ended up in my cooler bag and the contents of which are now in my freezer... it just might get chucked on a hook sometime :wink:

Pity you could not get down this week. A lot of fish to be had down here at the moment.
