myself,and 7 others.
Calm sea , no wind Fished LW to HW 3pm to 8pm
Baits Lug,rag, mackeral, squid, Frozen peeler crab and razorfish.
Catch 2 flounder, 1 coaly and 2 sea trout (returned )
Catch and release YES.
We were fishing this beach for the first time. The sea was very calm and clear. The weather was mild with bright sunshine and no wind. Fishing was very slow. Only 1 flounder @ 34 cms and 2 Approx 1.5 lb sea trout all released safely were caught before dark. On my last two casts I caught a 24 cm flounder and a 32 cm coaly . This venue has potential but is perhaps a high water venue as it is extremely shallow

another beach i never tired, if its the one i think it is i always thought it was shallow and better fished at night. Fair play to you for trying a new beach, pity it didnt return more fish for you

Mc I along with my friends plan to fish as many new and possibly untried venues in the donegal area this coming year. Ballyness will fish a lot better when a good sea is running and the right tide conditions exist. Locals tell us that it is very good for flonder, plaice and sea trout

What part of the beach did you fish. I live not far from this beach.
