I've only been fishing for a few months Ronald. This was my first true shore session as I bought myself a tripod for Christmas and couldnt wait to give it a go.Was fishing way down to the left just past the white rocks on the other side of the stream.

I know where it is, I just want to know what conditions suit it best if I'm going to make the trip up, I'd love to add a Herbert to my species list this year.

Best time? - someone else may answer that, as i said above first time on a beach so I must have hit it lucky . all three fish were caught around 12.30 - so 2 hours after high tide.
How to get there-
From Ballycastle take the coast road to Ballintoy go through Ballintoy and go towards Bushmills .About 2 miles from Ballintoy you will see the sign for the youth hostel .Park in the car park and then the adventure begins .you have got to carry everything to the beach which is a good hike down a stone track(no vechicles allowed).
From Bushmills-take the road out to the Giants Causeway but where the road splits at the Smugglers Inn (about a mile out)keep to the right and from Bushmills its just over 5 miles to White Park Bay
