North Down Marks

Thu Jan 10, 2008 11:28 pm

People: Me

Duration: 6pm - 9pm

Tide: Low then Push

Weather: Still, Cold.

Bait: Ragworm, Bluely, Black Lug, Mackeral

Rigs: Millenium, Sheppy

Results: 15xWhiting (to 27cm), 2xCoalies (32cm, 37cm) 1x3 Bearded Rockling (32cm)

Report: Second session of the year, and it was really, Really freezin'. Fished from the Bottom of the tide up, and started on the Beach Side, a 30yd Lob was good enough to put me amongst the whiting, and the Foo Fighter was soon bouncing away with Single and Double Shots, No Flatties on the beach which was a pity.

So a move to the rough ground as the tide pushed, it was a good decision and within 2 minutes I had a 32cm Coaly on the Deck. 2 Casts later and I managed a Double of Coalfish and Rockling, after which the wash from the H.S.S. came in, and the bites died away.
