People: Me
Duration: 15.00 to 17.00
Tide: H.W. 16.00
Weather: Mild and reasonably calm
Bait: Black Lug/Razor
Rigs: 2 Hook Flapper - I Up, I Down
Results: 1 Whiting, 2 bass, 1 Dab, 1 Coalie,
Decided to give Ardmore a go today and was glad I did. First fish up was a reasonably good whiting about 3/4 lb, nothing much after that only a small sand dab until I moved down the beach towards the rocks on the eastern end where the real action started.
Missed a really good thump straight away reeled in and the razor had been taken. Next two casts and two bass - 2lb & 3lb. The bass were coming in on the high tide, as the tide was going out it got really weedy and no further action apart from the coalie.
Nice way to start the year.

Yeah Denis nice to get a few already in the year   . Had I moved down to the rocky end earlier I reckon I'd have had even more success with the bass as they seemed to be moving in at that time. Had one massive thump that I failed to connect with. Might try down around West Waterford next weekend again.
