Report:cracking session,was working in the rebel county for a couple of days so still had the rods in the jeep from comp the weekend.hectic session from the word go didnt have a chance to light a smoke for the first 2 hrs due to using 2 rods.first 5 cod nearly pulled the rods of the tripod with 3 @ 6lb,1 @ 5lb and a 3lb'r.The last hour was alot slower and finally got to have a smoke,needed something to take the grin of my face :oops: .The last few cod ranged from 4lb to 2lb with bites coming at a much slower pace,enjoyable all the same :lol: :lol: :lol:

Great fishing there skip...what was the best bait on the night?

cocktails rory,fish were full of launce and small hardbacks

Great fishing SKIP, do you reckon sandeel would have worked? Also, were the fish at distance or close-in?

dont think so pat. reason been the launce were fairly decomposed but then again possibly :?: i was supprised to find so many hardbacks in the stomachs of the fish i kept,unusual maybe or not :?: at distane by the way

Tried an East Cork beach myself last night. Didn't have the great fishing you had the other night but ended up with two cod (42, 52cm), two coalies (34, 33cm). and a flounder (31cm). I presume I was in the same spot as you? :wink:
