People:Me, corbyeire

Duration:2100-2330

Tide:Falling from high

Weather:Dried up early on, moon came out, beautiful night

Bait:Lug, mack

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:Whiting, coalie, flounder, rockling

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Headed out for 9, heavy showers earlier but the rain was just easing off when I started. Wanted to see if there were any flounder left, but seems most of them have left for their annual shagfest. Got one small lad about 22cm. A few small whiting, one about 30cm, and a coalie just over 30, and finished up with a small rockling, my first ever.
Corby arrived about 10, and he was still fishing when I left, he can fill in how he got on.
Grand night, shame the flounder are gone, but chuffed with the new species :D

I'm sure there's a few still about, but tonight was the first night in 3 weeks with decent surf conditions and we were getting lots of good fish then but just the one tonight, so I reckon most of em are off shaggin

got there just after ten

intending to do no fishing whatsoever - i was weed clearing for bradans pleasure

and look at the success!

stayed on til about 12.30 - but there wasnt much point when no one was there to benefit

had about 10 casts altogether - half were destroyed in stalky weed

:x

nice work on the 4 species bradan

is there still plenty off weed about?

Thu Nov 29, 2007 6:05 pm

if you ask kev - he would say no

me i would say yes!

there is the old clump going round of real stalky heavy weed - that will pull the rod out of the tripod

had a walk over to both groynes and there was still plenty of lose weed on them following the water out

it could be clearing away - but very slowly

Think you were just unlucky Brian, I fished 2 rods for most of the session, one close in and one further out, and only had the odd small bit of weed. Its definitely cleaned up a lot since the weekend. But thanks for taking that clump away from my line all the same! :D
