Great results men weldone to all, the fish must of been throwing themselves up on the beach for Coaster and B Murphy to be catchin them!! :D

Thats exactly what Coaster & Barry said yesterday when I asked where you were, so it looks like they were right, will you be allowed to Cork on Sat night, probably not, more hoovering and dusting to be done.......... so the lads said!!!

Congrats to the lads on their respective wins. Good going given the lack of fish on the beach.
Thanks to Pete for lending me a reel after I blew mine up on a practice cast  - missed the first 15 minutes getting set up again and that after 15minutes of hiking up and down the beach to get it off him - not the best start I could have had.
Got a small bass (28cm - never seen one that small before - must be spoiled here in Cork) first cast and that was it for the night.
Any idea where I placed Donal - or will I have to wait for the full list to be posted?

Cheers lads, an enjoyable evenings scratching around in paradise like conditions compared to last weekends Munster Open. Tough enough fishing all the same but short range tactics worked well enough for me on the day. A well organised comp and good to see such a healthy turn out.

These rules have existed for a long time but were never enforced.
Great Island took th brave step at the Open Shore and Rinnashark kept it going.

Enough notices were put at both competitions so there was going to be no excuses. Anybody who asked what was to be done were told.

Committee members going around after a competition with cards in the hands is only leaving them open to pub talk.

Now that the anglers know what is required the same rules will apply from here on in.

The Rules that are causing all the problems are
1. The angler marking the card must draw a line under the last fish caught and sign this name on the next line.
2. The angler marking the card must sign the end of the card.
3. The angler must sign the end of his own card

This means the angler and the marker agree with what is written on the card.

Junior and Youth anglers have to sign their cards and do so without question so any senior angler who does not sign his/her card cannot complain they are fishing long enough to know.
Donal any chance of the overall results to-date of the Munster closed shore.

Very sensible rules Donal... Fari play to the Munster Council for adopting them. It should be totally un-necessary to enforce such rules, but guys have to learn.

Happy Days Donal,

can't believe there were no cod caught though! Must be all in the river? Deeper water? Who knows.

well lads to kstaff and sharky if you ask in advance ye might be left fish ill put in a good word for ye even  .yeah as pete said fishing scratchy and poor over all hard going to get a few fish out of it.it is a good rule makes adding fish a thing of the past, even though it be a very small amount of people might do it.rules are rules and most of us are at it long enough and have no excuse.

Going to hold back on the complete results of the 3rd leg to keep up number of anglers for the last leg
Done the same last year and had no complaints
